When Sports and Fashion Collide: NBA’s All-Star Style in New York City

The NBA All-Star Game and New York Fashion Week collided into each other, and it was all good. The fashion industry embraced the players of the NBA All-Star game recently, and retailers lined up to see the big style stars in action. Most of the All-Stars are famous not only for their playing abilities, but also for their fly sense of well-dressed style off the court.

A highlight of the weekend was a fashion show called “All-Star Style” produced by LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers in collaboration with Turner Sports and IMG. It was a runway show complete with players, models and style setters. Also featured was a live performance by Ludacris. The weekend included interviews and dinners with countless fashion directors.

Some of the NBA All-Stars who expressed their sense of style were Kobe Bryant, who showed off his love for sleek European tailoring; Daman Lillard who showed up in a red and black flannel suit; and Chris Bosh who expressed his iconic menswear style.
