As we continue our Bangkok Designers to look out for tour, we land on a fashion forward, playful brand that tends to bend the rules of men’s fashion in a way we love: Q Design and Play, or more simply referred to as QDAP.

QDAP was the first brand I came across while shopping in Bangkok. I noticed a shiny metallic piece hanging on a rack and was instantly drawn to it. As I looked at the racks surrounding it, I was stunned to find such avant-garde runway pieces for men. Usually this level of playful fashion can only be found in a contemporary women’s section, but thankfully QDAP (and the rest of our featured Bangkok Designers) brings excitement to mens’ closets.

“Play” is built into QDAP ‘s philosophy. Rooted in playing with fashion with messages and stories that are told quite literally through graphics, shape, and text, their designs offer a wide range of looks and pieces that can be fun to mix into your daily outfits.

Headed by Thai Designers Praphat Somboonsitti and Ekkapoom Treechairusmee, QDAP blends Praphat’s love of Graphic Design with Ekkapoom’s love of fashion, creating a unique blend of graphic elements with wearable fashion forward garments.

QDAP was the spark that opened my eyes to Bangkok mens fashion. Once I shopped QDAP, I began hunting the racks, malls, street vendors, night markets, for all the fun mens fashion finds.
