When it comes to sneaker collaborations, it usually involves two entities coming together to bring together their styles. In this newest collab, it involves no fewer than four collaborators in Marvel Comics, Adidas, Footlocker and (takes deep breath) Jen Bartel, a comic book artist to put out one pair of shoes inspired by Captain Marvel.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised when shoe companies leverage comic books, characters and their iconic colors and logos into footwear. I feel it’s really easy to get corny, but as past superhero shoes, the Cap Marvel kicks that look really great. amazing.
The collab has done a fantastic job incorporating the Captain Marvel uniform colors and aesthetic into the style and design. In order to get the exclusive shoes on International Women’s Day, take a look at the deets below:
The Captain Marvel x Adidas sneakers will be available right here at Foot Locker for $150 (free shipping) starting at 10am EST (7am PST) today, March 8th. Quantities will be extremely limited.
How weird that the shoe will only be sold men’s sizes. Who made that wack production decision? Ok whatever. If you want the shoes, then sizing them for women by subtracting 1.5 size from women’s normal shoe size. So, if you wear a size 8, choose the 6.5 men’s size. Pretty weak, I know.
No doubt that these Captain Marvel-inspired shoes will sell out, so if you haven’t yet jumped on these, you’re probably already out of luck. Time to jump on resale sites. If you can’t grab those Adidas, check out these Captain Marvel colorway from SK8-HI.
