[survey]M.I.A.’s most recent single Double Bubble Trouble (which has been out since last year) has been on repeat for me over the last couple months. The single’s energy feels authentic to M.I.A., while it perfectly combines sounds of the tropics with reggae and trap. [prem]
Without argument, the best track on Matangi is Bad Girls, and Double Bubble Trouble is the second strongest single to come off the album. If DBT was released before Y.A.L.A. and I think “Matangi” would have had better momentum.
